Metroid Fusion. Words cannot describe how much I love this game. Wow.
I may be a Metroid fanboy, but let me try to describe the experience objectively.
Metroid, for those not in the know, had a massive surprise at the end of the game. The main character was a woman. Yes, the guy in the super-cool battle suit, the greatest intergalatic bounty hunter that ever lived, was not a guy at all, it was a woman.
Of course, there were sequels, the game boy version, Metroid II... a recognized part of the overall plot of the series, the absolutely fantastic Metroid III, a.k.a. Super Metroid, and now, Metoid Fusion, which is Metroid 4. Since all of the Metroids had been wiped out at the end of Metroid III, they needed a new enemy to fight. Enter X, the mysterious parasite that can take on the form of anything it's infected. I won't spoil the plot for anyone that wants to play it, but let me just say... umm... wow. The graphics are amazing, it has sound you'll want to hear through headphones, and the gameplay just falls short of surpassing the former best of series, Super Metroid.
Though I have a feeling it's going to be too short... I think the overall experience will make up for it.
I also briefly played Hoshi no Kirby GBA... which, unfortunately, is not a new Kirby game. It's a rehash of Kirby's Adventure, the original NES Kirby. Though graphically and aurally updated, with better control and cooler minigames, it's still the same game I've already run through a couple of times. Cool, but Metroid has invaded my life, for now.
On the real life side of things... well, things should be getting fairly better soon. I've got a new job, and I'll be holding down my current job with KFC for as long as I need to catch up. Stress about money should go down, stress about work will most likely go up, but hey, that's the way these things go. ^^;

I have no money. I have no cigarettes. Friends' lives are in turmoil. Our lives are in turmoil. There's a big-ass hole in the ceiling in the bedroom. I'm unemployed. I've got a headache.
I am NOT feeling inclined to clean the apartment. >.<

Ah, life is good. Issues have been resolved. Though I'd prefer not to talk about it right now.

Some bad things have happened. I'd prefer not to write about it, here... not that anyone ever reads this damned thing, but still.
Just when I thought everything was perfect... I had everything figured out.. life was going to work out for me, for us.. out of nowhere pops this shit.
I lied... of course I lied. I mean, Christ, I was on the spot.. she was terrified, all I could think to say was that it wasn't me.
I call back immediately to tell the truth. The truth doesn't come out right. I stumble. I feel like an idiot. She gets more worried.
I come home. I'll never forget the look on her face when she told me to stay away from her.
I explain my side of the story. Less than calmly. I'm terrified. She hints at a breakup. I cried harder than I ever thought possible.
And still, few believe me. Everyone would believe that I'm some sick fucking monster. Few have the faith to believe that someone they know as well as they do is not a dangerous psychopath.
I'm hurt. She wants to believe me. They all want to believe me. They'll all give me the benefit of the doubt, for all the good that's going to do me.
Fuck.
I didn't even do anything wrong.
But I do understand.
Fuck.

Just finished a new layout... after long and painful hours of tweaking it. It's still got some problems, but damnit, I'm done for now. ^^;

Well, the move went very well. All is great. I'm working at a cellular kiosk located in a Wal-Mart. Which is really a whole lot more boring than it sounds.
So anyway, I'm here, I'm happy, I have lots of anime and a complete collection of pirated GBA games. Not to mention the hardware.
And, of course, I have Caaaaro-channnn..... ^_______^

I look around myself and see that, much to my surprise and delight, I'm actually almost done packing! Wai wai! ^__^
However, the room looks so barren and lonely, and each letter I type returns an echo, resounding from my poor empty walls and dancing upon the remnants of the life I'm leaving behind.
I'm going to miss this place, as much as I've said I want to leave it.

Yay for the government! (You'll never hear me say THAT again ^^;;) I had forgotten entirely that all that money they take from your paychecks eventually comes back to you. Getting back over $600, which will bring me back up to $1100, which is almost where I started. That'll make the move a lot easier.
In other news, I'm beginning to think I should just give up on radio plays entirely. There's no point to writing them if you can't produce them. And I haven't successfully casted and produced a radio play since Bakamon, about 3 years ago. o.o;
Well, maybe I should just try a little harder. ^^;
